Neodymium Romantic

I wanted to show you
The Fluorescent shoots growing out of the wood
Falling upwards like millions of purple rain drops
Converging into glassy stalagmite columns

Under an ocean of darkness,
I wanted to show you
the glass forest born of dead wood
and watch the royal hue mist around your eyes

All of the world was reduced to paint drops
swirling in streaks of the cool light of what
I wanted to show you,
something perfect

And with a darling innocence, you hesitated to come see
and just as I saw your delicate smile form
The chance vanished as we lost
what I wanted to show you
